Elkville Youth Wins Dinner With Fernando Vina of the St. Louis Cardinals

Congratulations to Kyle Whittington of Elkville, IL, the winner in WXAN’s “Dinner with Fernando” contest. Kyle and his father, Greg, joined myself and Rev. Vic Voatow in having a wonderful lunch with St. Louis Cardinal 2nd baseman Fernando Vina at J. Buck’s Restaurant in St. Louis September 5. 
Kyle told his dad prior to the lunch, “Dad, this is the chance of a lifetime.” Kyle had an awesome time meeting Fernando, who gave Kyle a couple of great items: a signed baseball and an 8x10 autographed photograph. Fernando made Kyle feel like he was his special guest as well. 
Our sincere thanks to Fernando Vina, one of the great people and strong Christians in Major League Baseball, and one of the best second basemen! It truly was a great time for Kyle, Fernando and for everyone!
