"Leading the Way" with Dr. Michael Youssef Added to WXAN's Mid-Day Line-Up

You can now hear another great Christian program on WXAN. It is “Leading the Way” with Dr. Michael Youssef, which will be aired each weekday morning at 8:30 a.m. on 103.9 FM.

Michael Youssef is a preacher of the powerful Word of God, delivering biblical truth with accuracy and urgency. He is the founding pastor of The Church of The Apostles in Atlanta, Georgia. This evangelical Anglican congregation was founded in May of 1987. It began with fewer than forty adults and within five years numbered 1,000. Today the church has grown to nearly 2,000. 

Born in Egypt in 1948 as one of eight children with a family heritage rooted in the ancient new testament church founded by the Apostle Mark, Dr. Youssef committed his life to Christ as a young man. While growing up, Michael attended Presbyterian and Free Methodist churches. Hearing the call of God on his life, he immigrated to Australia at age twenty to prepare for Christian ministry. 

After completing a degree in theology at Moore Theological College in Sydney and a master's degree in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in California, Michael earned his doctorate in social anthropology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1984, he fulfilled a desire he had longed for since his teenage years, he became a naturalized citizen of the United States. 

Formerly the Managing Director of the Haggai Institute for Advanced Leadership Training headquartered in the United States and Singapore, Dr. Youssef continues to be involved in training Christian Leaders. Many of these leaders are at the highest levels of government and business from countries throughout the world. 

Dr. Youssef's book, The Leadership Style of Jesus (Victor Books, 1986) has been translated into seven languages. Additionally, he has authored six other books, including two novels. Among his latest, The Call of A Lifetime, published by Moody Press, and Know Your Real Enemy, published by Thomas Nelson Publishers. 
Michael is married to the former Elizabeth Bailey of Sydney, Australia. They have four children.
